TEARING DOWN OF CENTRAL SCHOOL
--Mr. Albert Perry officially locked the old stone school.
He was one of the first students in that school having entered it when he came to Estevan in the fall of 1895.

Miss Rattray was honored at a Reception, May 18, 1956 in recognition of her 38 years of service in the Collegiate.

RATTRAY ALUMNI AWARD presented by Collegiate Alumni and Estevan Community to honor the years of teaching service of Miss H.B. Rattray. It is awarded to give needed assistance to a student who has successfully completed Grade XI at E.C.I. and who is registered in Grade XII in E.C.I.

1950 FROM OLD "ECHOES"
March 1950. Crew of men from Radio Station C.K.R.M. Regina visited school rooms and interviewed students in different classes; for example:
Garry McKechney and Evelyn Petterson in Grade XII Chemistry class. Teacher, Mr. Dubyk.
Sam Clasky in Grade XI Social Studies along with teacher, Mr. Smith.
Marie Kristianson and Miss Cameron in Commercial Class.

In 1950 a cement sidewalk was built in front of the Collegiate property. Before that a cinder path had always been used.

One issue of Echoes listing "What I'd like for Christmas: -- Irwin Krueger said he'd like a 1950 Cadillac (We wonder if he still wants one).

Work began on new wing on the west side of Collegiate in September 1957. Some rooms were completed for use in April 1958. In all there were twelve rooms added in the west wing.
