Physiographic Regions of Canada

Create a scrapbook for one of the regions of Canada .   Use books, magazines, newspapers, handouts, or any other sources of information.  Your scrapbook should bring your region to life, and should cover the following areas:

1.      A map of Canada showing the location of the region to the rest of Canada . (5)

2.      A regional map showing major physical features and cities. (5)

3.      Location facts such as boundaries, dimensions, latitude and longitude co-ordinates (5)

4.      A description of the physical features and climate. (5)

5.      An outline of the history and population growth. (5)

6.      A description of the major economic activities and natural resources. (5)

7.      A listing of major areas of employment. (5)

8.      Pictures of the physical features, economic activities, and products. (10)

9.      Facts about each province in the region, including the coat of arms, flower, capital city, premier, government, and population. (10)

10.  Cultural events and tourist attractions of the region. (10)

11.  A brief focus on the major cities of the region, including location, population, economic activities, and attractions (if different from question #10). (5)

12.  A description of the problems that the region faces and what the future holds for the region. (5)
