Mr. and Mrs. Berger Louvisendahl were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Einar Fagerheim last week. Although the weather man was unkind, a good crowd attended the Christmas concert held Monday December, 23 and was a success. The large tree looked pretty under the load of brightly colored ornaments. The program proved interesting to young and old. One item of note was "The Dance of the Christmas Candies". Great credit is due to the teacher for the costumes in this item which were very realistic. After the singing of 0 Canada the school opened the program with a carol "Once in Royal Davids City"'. This was followed by Christmas crackers and Christmas bedtime scenes. Outstanding was a recitation by Ida Hebling appropriately costumed "Poor Christmas Dolly". A play, "The Lucky Ghost" included Elna Peterson as Professor Darson, Irene Peterson as Miss Keating, Grant Peterson as her nephew and Alice Zoba as Annie, the maid. A sketch "The Old Grandparents" showed Frank Doll, Warren Peterson and Charles Cowan as the three brave grandfathers. Ida Hebling, Alice Zoba and Margaret Szabari as the gentle grandmothers. Readings which were highly enjoyed were given by Irene Peterson, Alice Zoba, and Elna Peterson. A Hard Times drill showing participants in Hobo costumes caused much merriment. A Dutch dance was repeatedly encored. To the greeting of a jolly song "Father Christmas" the jolly gentleman made his appearance through a window at the rear.
