The first cemetery in Estevan was located to the south-east of the village, just east of the present plant of Estevan Brick Ltd. Land location is the most westerly 365 feet width through out, of the most northerly 365 feet width through out, of the most southernly 1161 feet width, of NW1/2- Sec13- Tp2- R8- W2, information is on record at Estevan City Hall.

Sometime around 1918, the Estevan counsel decided to establish a new cemetery, which is now the Estevan City cemetery. Permission was secured from families before any graves were disturbed from this cemetery and relocated.

The relocation was only half completed and 35 graves remained here. The original grave markers are still in place for these remaining graves.

Information on this cemetery was obtained from records at Estevan City hall, and also recorded off the headstones, by Cindy Zeleny of Estevan.
