-The Bank originated in 1909 as the Bank of Hamilton.
-The Bank of Hamilton merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce on December 31, 1923.
-The Bank was renamed Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce June 1, 1961 as a result of a merger between the Canadian Bank of Commerce and the Imperial Bank of Canada.
