The Apostolic Church of Estevan was opened by Rev. and Mrs. H.O. McColl as an independent church in September 1929 in the Estevan Town Hall.
After a series of srvices a church was established in the Ellis building where the Canadian Legion Hall now stands. Later the church was moved to the Grain Growers' Building on corner of 4th and thirteenth Avenue.

Through the years of drought and depression the Apostolic Church carried on as it was established on free will offerings.
It was necessary to establish a new church home in 1946. During the ensuing months a basement was constructed and services were then held in this new structure directly across from the Legion Hall. In due course a fine brick and tile building was completed with the church suite being part of the main structure.
Rev. and Mrs. McColl continued the Gospel work here until the passing of Rev. McColl in 1974.
An only daughter, Alberta, is teaching in B.C. Miss. McColl received her A.R.C.T. in piano, a Bachelor of Science degree from University of British Columbia and a Masters' degree in Berkley University.
Mrs. H.O. McColl R.M.T. began teaching piano in Estevan in 1945. She organized a centre here for the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto for piano and theory examinations. After 35 years Mrs. McColl is still assisting in this capacity. In 1975 the Beta Sigma Phi and the city of Estevan made a day of honor for Mrs. McColl when she completed thirty years of teaching in Estevan.
