That All May Know

It is but right that the limit of indulgence should be challenged before drastic measures are taken. That limit has already been passed in Saskatchewan, and the blood spilled on the streets of Estevan on Tuesday stands witness that this province has no thought of surrendering to the Commmunist movement. The situation has all but gotten out of hand in Manitoba and now threatens Saskatchewan. Red propaganda is busy wherever adverse conditions create unrest and discontent. Nowhere is sedition more actively spread than among the already harassed ranks of agriculture. Unless it is hit, and hit hard, right now, there will be troublous times for good citizens during the coming winter. There are enough good citizens in Saskatchewan with a stake in the country to guard, with confidence in the future and faith in established institutions, to see to it that red revolution shall not be fomented by irresponsible agencies. If it is necessary to that end that blood must be spilled in the streets, it will be spilled. And the time is ripe when that should be known from end to end of the Province.
