

The first Minto School was
built on plot F and is now a private residence. This was a small
school. The second Minto School was on plot Q. This building burned
down in 1929. The third Minto School was on plot C. This school
was built in 1929 and was later used as a recreational building.
The fourth Minto School was built on plot A. It was built in 1957.
In 1957 the fourth Minto school had 127 students and 6 rooms.
The teachers at the schools were: Miss Hall,Miss Lorr, Miss Hall,
May Davis, Miss Dorsey, Arthur Rolph, Libby Harris, Ethel Moerike,
Annie Armstrong, Mrs Dora Finnen, E.w McDonald, Alice Mackenzie,
Ruby Partington, Margaret Holley, Reta Cameron, Belva Howitt,
Mr. Hattie, Ian Mackenzie. Jon Parker, Mabel MacKenzie, Isabel
Osten, John Raichman, Margaret Loyd, Miss Parker, Mary Mackenzie,
Horace Ward, Arthur Ewan.
There are many more. These
are just a few.
Presently there are 3 teachers and one teacher aide with 30 students.
